Bullying is a National Problem

Bullying is a National Problem

Bullying is a big problem in our society because people get bullied and made fun of everyday. One out of every five (20.2%) students report being bullied. Most bullying happens at school or after school activities whether it's weight, hair, clothes, race, or what not. People commit suicide from bullying and some people just brush it off like it doesn't matter and that can't keep happening. Most kids can't talk to anyone about bullying issues because they are embarrassed or scared to. We should be able to provide them with an option at school to talk about it and hold assemblies that talk more about what can happen. Some schools do it but they don't explain it well enough for the kids to understand. It is so sad what happens to the kids and they just don't understand why they are getting bullied. The bullies also sometimes bully because of problems at home or they could also be bullied. Sometimes bullies do it and they don't notice that they are bullying their peers. So in conclusion, that is why bullying is a national issue in our society.
